The Tumbler of Hot, Creamy Milk

The tumbler overflowed
White creamy milk
Steam rose from it
Carving mystic designs
In the frigid winter air
My bare frozen fingers
Trembled in the burning comfort
Reluctant to drink it away
My lips refused to touch
The warm comfort of steel.

Heat, it ebbed away
Too soon, it was time
To drink it up
Slowly I dipped
My finger in the lukewarm liquid
Drew out the cream
Threw it away
Raised the tumbler
Filled with sudden disgust
Let it flow down the drain.

Well I wrote what I thought. It's a bit of symbolism I guess. I'm too embarrassed to explain more.

@ achyuth
It has nothing to do with my project
