Stupid Romance Bullshit

I just read the most Pathetic story ever.

To be fair, the writer must have put in a lot of effort to think of such an obviously baseless stupidity. Oops there I go critisizing again...

Hell there seems to be a radical shift in my outlook now. I do not know why I''ve changed, maybe I've turned cynical or maybe its the fact that I've realized that reality is never so picture-perfect. Either way, the end result has been dramatic.

I no longer like romance books.

If any of my friends are reading this there would be the round-eyed look of disbelief just about right now. Honestly speaking every romance novel I've read recently have brought nothing but tears of laughter into my eyes. If you've tried any of those books you'd know.

How about the story I'm talking about right now.

Everything goes as predicted.

Guy meets girl. Guy likes girl. Guy falls in love just after two days, believes its destiny. Girl loves guy. Loads of kisses and X-rated stuff. Guy proposes girl.

Girl refuses.

Why? (To have a freaking climax of course!)

Because she is short.

Read the sentence again if you don't believe it. Girl is 5'2" and guy is 6'3".

Hilarious!

Girl afraid that guy will treat her as a ''kwepie doll'', and make jokes about carrying her in his pocket. (The HORROR!!!)

But of couse, romances always have a happy ending, right?

So guy makes custom designed step stools for his lady love in all the colours of the rainbow.

One special one's description- "It will bring you eye-level with me, make you my equal physically as you already are emotionally and intellectually. This stool is for when you want to kiss me, my love. You can use it at the altar when we get married if you choose to."

Girl begins to thaw.

Guy tells his woeful story of great expectations from everyone because of his height rite from he was but 14. (Guy always has a woeful story in romance) Girls completes thawing and screams Yes, Yes, Yes to marriage.

Girl and guy dissolve in a puddle of more kisses and more XXX.

Here comes the bride...

To all those romance lovers who may chance upon this entry, let me assure you that I'm still am and always will be a romantic. I know the pain that goes into writing books. The thing is romance in real-life is never so perfect (or so heart-breakingly hard as portrayed in some books were Girl is always "crying enough to float a ship")

Romance is as we make it.

All I want to say is that love is something that needs continual work and effort. It is not just hot and sizzling chemistry or melodrama. It is something which needs maturity and will power.

Last word? You have amazed me with your capability to read absolute bull shit.
